Comrades are reminded to renewed their membership for 2026 as soon as possible. After January 31st 2026, they are no longer in good standing and must be the guest of a member to use the Branch. Memberships can be renewed at the Branch or by paying online through a personal Legion Portal account.
The Ways and Means/Entertainment Committee is meeting on Wednesday, January 28th, at 6 PM at the Branch. The meeting is for all members interested in volunteering for the many facets of Ways and Means or Entertainment - such as trivia, karaoke, TGIF meal providers, barbecuing, delivery of supplies as needed, decorators, Chase the Ace as well as volunteers for yard sales, dances and other events. Everyone is welcome.

General Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area and equipment
- Assist with stocking and inventory control of bar supplies, canteen items and merchandise
- Assist with Hall Rental Bookings
- Handle cash transactions
- Maintain VLTs, including payouts and collection of funds
- Receive payments and issue receipts for membership dues and donations
- Answer and direct telephone calls and inquiries
- Enforce Provincial Liquor Legislation & Regulations
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests
- Criminal Records Check
- Accreditation in “Serve Right” and Responsible Gaming, as well as First Aid, CPR, AED, and Food Handling Safety (training and compensation provided if necessary)
- Lifting up to 13.5kg (30lbs)
- Schedule/Hours of work include day, evening, and some weekend shifts, 3-8 hours per shift
