Education Support:  Financial support for post-secondary education is offered by NS-NU Command and many Legion branches, including Eastern Marine Branch 161.  The support can be by scholarships or bursaries.  Academic performance and potential are considered in both scholarships and bursaries applications but bursaries emphasis financial need.

NS-NU Command scholarship applications must be at the Command office, no later than April 15th 2024 and are open to any eligible student.  Information is on their website   https://ns.legion.ca/index.php/programs/scholarship

Branch 161 bursary information is on the Branch website under Poppy and Remembraance.  Our bursaries are available to veterans and dependents of veterans.   Please tell your family and friends about our bursary so that they can read the criteria, assess their eligibility and gather application information; including service details about their Veteran.  Applications must be to the Branch no later than May 24th 2024.
