Our 2025 Poppy Campaign activities will begin on Friday October 31st and ran through to Remembrance Day, Tuesday, November 11th .
First Poppies will be presented to the members of the Porters Lake Senior Club on October 29th at 2 PM in the Porters Lake Community Center. Everyoe is welcome and please wear Legion dress so that the Club members know who is with the Legion.
Distribution of Poppies to the General public begins on Friday October 31st and runs until Monday Novemebr 10th. Branch members will be at the Superstore display Monday to Friday from 10 am to 8 pm, and at Tim Hortons Mondays to Fridays 9 am to 3 pm. Cadets will distribute popies on the weekends.
Honour Roll is on Sunday, November 2nd at 2 pm. This Ceremony is dedicated to the memory of our comrades who are no longer with us. Each name will be read aloud as white crosses are displayed under our Tulip Tree to symbolize their once presence. Families and friends are encouraged to attend, reminisce, and enjoy the camaraderie our loved ones once shared at the Branch. We hope you will join us for this very special day. Seating will be available. Light refreshments will be served immediately following the ceremony.
School visits begin on Wednesday November 8th to Monday November 10th. Please arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled start time as we are marched into the assembly.

Our Remembrance Church service on Sunday November 9th begin at 11:30 am at St John of the Cross Church. Everyone is welcome. Please arrive no later than 11:20 to hang your coat and join your comrades entering the church.
The November 11th Cenotaph service begins at 10:57 am at the Portes Lake Cenotaph. However, the marching groups will arrive at about 10:45 and everyone should be in place before that time. Parking is avaialbe in the Superstore parking lot. Following the Cenotaph service, everyone is invited to the Branch for comradeship and refreshments.
