Countdown Begins: 2025 Nova Scotia 55+ Games - Just Seven Months Away!
Lunenburg County, NS – The excitement is building as we mark seven months until the 2025 Nova Scotia 55+ Games, a premier multi-sport event that will bring together 750+ participants from across the province to compete, connect, and celebrate active living. Set to take place throughout Lunenburg County, including Bridgewater, Chester, and surrounding communities, the Games will showcase the spirit, strength, and camaraderie of Nova Scotia’s 55+ community.

Scotia 55+ Games will feature a wide range of sports and recreational activities, from competitive events to social games that encourage participation at all skill levels. The Games are designed to be inclusive, ensuring that everyone can join in the fun regardless of their abilities. Beyond the competition, the Games will foster community engagement, tourism, and regional collaboration, leaving a lasting impact on the South Shore.

These Games are more than just a sporting event—they are an opportunity to celebrate the energy, resilience, and enthusiasm of the 55+ community," said Joanne Cooper, Co-Chair of the 2025 Nova Scotia 55+ Games Host Committee. "With seven months to go, preparations are underway to deliver an unforgettable experience for participants, volunteers, and spectators alike."
Andrew Tanner, Co-Chair of the Host Committee, emphasized the broader impact of the Games: "Beyond the competition, the Nova Scotia 55+ Games strengthen our communities, creates lasting friendships, and brings economic benefits to the entire region. The Nova Scotia 55+ Games Association recognizes the significance of these Games for both participants and host communities. Les Anderson, Association President, emphasized the long-term benefits: “The Nova Scotia 55+ Games promote active living and well-being among older adults and bring a tremendous economic and social impact to our host communities. Lunenburg County will experience increased tourism, business activity, and volunteer engagement while fostering community pride.”
